Introductions :
Mechatronics is a field of engineering which is combination of several individual field’s such as mechanical engineer electronics, computer and information technology.
Definition of Mechatronics
The integrated study of the designs of the system and products in which computation mechanization actuation, Sensing and control are designed together to achieve Product quantity and performance
The syncretic uses of precision engineering management theory of computer Science, sensor’s and actuators technology to design to improve, Product & method is noting but mechatronics.
*General layout of Mechatronics system :-
1) Input signal sensor’s :-
An input sensor’s detects the point Signal’s and Produce’s electrical Signals These electrical signals are given to the input Signal conditioning unit.
Ex. Input sensors :
Transducers proximity sensors strain sensors photo electric sensor.
2) Input Signal conditioning :-
Input signal conditioning devices amplifies the input singles converts them to digital form and send to digital form and send to digital control unit.
Ex. Fitter’s, amplifies, analog to digital converter.
3) Digital control unit system :-
It is the process of mechatronics System It has microprocessor microcontroller or PLC Which Performs logical and arithmetic an operation and generates control signal.
4) Output signal conditioning units :-
These unit amplifies the digital signal obtained from the control unit and converts it into analog form this converted analog output is given to actuator’s.
5) Mechanical actuator’s :-
Mechanical actuators performed the mechanical work.
Ex. electric motor hydraulic Cylinders Pneumatic cylinders etc.
6) output sensor’s :-
The motion of speed force etc. of the actuators are sensed by the senses and give feedback signal to the input signal conditioning unit.
7) output display :-
In this block are unit we SEY / gave output.
*Advantage of Mechatronics system :-
1) High readability and safety.
2) High level of integration. Increased 3) functionality and better design.
3) Increased speed and precision performer.
*Disadvantage of mechatronics :-
1) The initial setup cast is high.
2) Repair and Maintenances completed.
*control system and mechatronics :-
A control system is set of devices that manages, commands directs or regulates the behavior of a system to achieve desired output.
Types of control system :-
1) opened loop – control system.
2) Closed loop – control system.
1) Opened loop -control system :-
A control system in which the action is totally independent output of the system. It is called open loop control System.
Ex. i) electric hand dries.
2) Bread taster.
3) Automatic tea Machine s and coffee maker.
4) Light switches.
*Advantage of open loop System :
i) simple in construction and design.
2) Easy to maintain.
3) Economical.
4) Generally stable.
*Disadvantage of open loop system:-
1) They are accurate,
2) They are in Unverifiable.
3) Any change in output correct automatically.
2) Closed loop controller systems :-
The control system in which control action is totally depends on output of the system. It is called as closed loop control system.
Closed loop control system has a feedback line in which output is sensed and measured and the input is adjusted according to the output. Ex.
1) Automatic electric iron.
2) voltage stabilizer.
3) Air conditioner.
4) cooling system in car.
*Advantages of closed loop system :-
1) Closed loop control system are more accurate.
2) It is connected of feedback signal due to presence of feedback signals.
3) This system is less effected noise.
*Disadvantage of closed loop system:-
1) They are costlier.
2) They are complicated to design.
3) Required more maintenance.
*Traditional VS mechanical approach
mechanics system :-
Mechatronics is the totally of fundamental procedures and technique for the service productions and development feature oriented objects.
Thus, Mechatronics is on technic discipline build upon the basis of classical mechanical,electrical and electronic engineering binding.
This is science not only with one another,but also with and computer science software engineering.
